Subject-Wise Weightage: Know the Battlefield First
Before you plan a single month, you need to know where marks actually come from. NEET is 720 marks across Physics (180), Chemistry (180), and Biology (360 — Botany + Zoology combined). Months 1-4: Foundation Building
This phase is about building the raw skeleton of every chapter — not mastery, just structural familiarity. In Physics, this means getting comfortable with the mathematical tools (vectors, calculus basics, dimensional analysis) before Mechanics even properly begins. In Chemistry, Physical Chemistry fundamentals (mole concept, atomic structure) come first because they underpin everything else. In Biology, start Class 11 NCERT cover-to-cover, chapter order, no skipping.

- Chemistry: Mole Concept, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, and start Organic with GOC (per AKM Sir's sequencing — GOC before any named reaction)

Months 5-9: Depth & Class 12 Onboarding
Once the foundation is laid, you start layering in Class 12 topics while continuing Class 11 revision cycles in parallel. Months 10-12: Syllabus Completion + First Full Revision
By this point, every chapter should have been touched at least once. The Backlog Management Framework
Backlogs are not a sign of failure — they are inevitable in a syllabus this large. What separates students who recover from those who spiral is how they categorize the backlog instead of just feeling guilty about it. Use this three-bucket system every Sunday:
Bucket A — Untouched
Chapters you haven't started. Priority: schedule these first, even if it means delaying revision of completed chapters by a week.
Bucket B — Studied but Weak
You've read it once but can't solve PYQs on it. Priority: re-study with a problem-first approach, not another full re-read.
Bucket C — Solid
You can solve mixed PYQs confidently. Priority: only quick flashcard-style revision, don't over-invest time here.
The rule of thumb: never let Bucket A grow past 5 chapters at any point in the year. The moment it does, that week's schedule gets rewritten to attack it directly, even at the cost of your planned topic.
The Final Revision Month: A Different Kind of Studying
The last 30 days before NEET should look nothing like the rest of your year. No new topics. No 500-page reference books. This is a month of consolidation, and it should be built around three pillars:
- NCERT-only Biology revision (2 full passes). At this stage, Biology marks are won or lost purely on how well you remember exact NCERT phrasing — diagrams, exceptions, and numerical data included.
- Formula & reaction sheets for Physics and Chemistry. Condense your entire year of notes into single-page formula sheets per chapter, and revise only from these, not the original notebooks.
- One full mock every 2 days, reviewed the same evening. The goal is no longer to learn new tricks; it's to keep your test-taking rhythm — timing, guessing strategy, and stamina — sharp.
